My name is Narinder and I am the Nursery Manager. Firstly, I would like to welcome you to Rothley Park Kindergarten. We hope you enjoy browsing through our website and enjoy taking a detailed tour of our beautiful nursery premises, which have been designed to deliver the best quality childcare services that your child deserves.

I have over 30 years of experience in early years and childhood development. My qualifications consist of CACHE Diploma Level 3, CACHE NVQ Level 4 and towards Foundation Degree in Early Years. I also hold a Diploma in Performance Coaching and Counselling.

My career began in my early teens, firstly with the YWCA, local playgroups and schools, the Royal Institute for the Blind and various nurseries.

Throughout the years I have gained a vast amount of quality life experiences with children and their families which has been the foundation to my continuing success in childcare.

My involvement with Rothley Park Kindergarten began in 2002, supporting all aspects of the provision from designing, planning the layout, and completing the full development of the premises to the highest specification. Rothley Park Kindergarten opened for business in 2003.

Julie

Deputy Officer in Charge

My name is Julie, I am a qualified Early Years Educator and hold a National Diploma in Child Studies Nursery Nursing qualification. I have been involved in childcare for 22 years, during which time I have gained a diverse, in-depth knowledge and experience relating to the care of children of all ages.

My first experience once qualified was becoming a private nanny to a set of twins which I particularly enjoyed. This experience led me to work in a private day care nursery in Southwell. My professional status enabled me specifically to develop, support and progress the learning and development of very young children. This period in my life ended once I became a mother myself. I am a mother of 2 daughters.

Over the past 5 years I have been helping Rothley Park Kindergarten on a regular basis as Bank Staff, supporting all age groups. I believe my efforts have built up a level of trust with colleagues, parent and most importantly the children in my care.

In January 2018 I had the opportunity to join Rothley Park Kindergarten on a permanent basis, this has given me a great sense of achievement and has now led me to become a Deputy Office in Charge.

Georgina

Deputy Officer in Charge

Always focuses on the bright side of life, happy and smiling, Georgina is very passionate in her role when it comes to providing children’s care and development needs.

I am known as George by all the children and their parents at the nursery. I have been with Rothley Park Kindergarten since 2014. I am a very dedicated team member who enjoys working with all ages, supporting children to their full potential. I enjoy working with the team and being hands on, supporting other nursery practitioners to deliver quality care and education for all the children.

I enjoy spending my spare time with family and friends, eating out, shopping and going on holidays.

Louise

Deputy Officer in Charge

Always on the lookout for new ways to make learning engaging, Louise is the fun but firm influence that perfectly helps to prepare children for their next step up to school.

My name is Louise and I have worked at Rothley Park Kindergarten since 2003. I am an experienced Early Years Practitioner and have been qualified since 2001. I have an array of childcare and education qualifications, including BA (Hons) Childhood and Youth Studies, Certificate in Early Years Practice (Level 4), Health and Social Care (Level 4) and CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing (Level 3).

I work as a part of the pre-school educating the 4+ children. I decided to enter into a career in early years education because I believe that the early years of life are most important for learning new skills that influence a child's success in later life. All children have the right to a good early years education and the right to fulfil their potential.

I enjoy being able to offer an environment that is rich in learning opportunities and good quality care for all children. I believe it is very important to support children's learning in the early years by making it fun, as this engages children and equips them to become successful lifelong learners.

Bethany

Deputy Officer In Charge

My name is Beth and I have worked at Rothley Park Kindergarten since 2015. I have a range of qualifications surrounding caring for children including Level 3 extended diploma in Health and Social Care, Level 3 in children’s Learning and Development along with a foundation degree in Children’s and young people’s services. Currently I am studying for my degree (Level 6) in education studies. I enjoy working as part of a team and I am passionate about caring for children.

Since joining in 2015 I have worked within the Baby Unit providing nurturing care for children aged between 6 weeks up to 2 years. I provide a warm and welcoming environment that meets the needs for both the children and their parents/ carers. I believe that providing the best start within a child’s early years is crucial for their development and I enjoy supporting children as they grow, play, and learn.

I have developed my knowledge over the years from the roles I have undertaken. I was promoted to a Senior Nursery Practitioner which enabled me to widen my experiences alongside supporting the nursery manager. From June 2021 I have taken on the role as a Deputy Officer in Charge, which is allowing me to take on a wider range of responsibilities and expand my knowledge and understanding of my role further.

Lynsay

Senior Practitioner

My name is Lynsay. I have worked at Rothley Park Kindergarten since 2018, working to support 2-3 years old children in all their aspects of learning and development. I qualified as an Early Years Educator over 20 years ago with a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies.

I love to think of ideas and activities that will excite the children and encourage their learning through play. I have a reputation of celebrating unusual and unique national days.

I am a busy mum, caring for my two teenage daughters and I enjoy socialising with my family and friends.

I have been based in the 2-3’s room for over 2 years and I enjoy working with this age. I feel it is a very important stage as the children are growing into little people! I support their independence by encouraging them to feed themselves, potty training, learning to share etc. Through activities and play, children are starting to learn shapes, counting and colour recognition.

In June 2021 I was promoted to Senior Officer, and I am enjoying my new role with exciting opportunities and responsibilities. My main role will always be the welfare of all the children in my care, to continue to provide a stimulating environment in which all children can explore and flourish.

Tracey

Special Educational Needs Coordinator

Passionate about her role as a Nursery Practitioner and a Special Educational Coordinator, Tracey always fills the room with laughter and her beaming smile.

My name is Tracey and I have been qualified as a CACHE Level 3 Nursery Practitioner since 2009. My background in childcare consists of working as a Pre-School Nursery Practitioner for several years and then as an Early Years Educator for Leicester City Council for the last 6 years. In my role, I work in close partnership with parents and their children to support any additional needs. I find my work extremely rewarding, fun and exciting and feel it’s a great privilege working within an Early Years Childcare setting.
