Special
Educational Needs
Tracey is our SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator). She is on-site to ensure all children meet their developmental stages. If a child requires additional support of any kind, we provide extra learning opportunities and monitor the child’s progress.
Records are kept of how the child is progressing. We involve parents with support and encourage the additional learning to take place at home. If more support is required we may seek permission from parents to call in additional professionals to help guide and support the child with the area of learning requiring support.
The child’s progress is monitored throughout their time at Rothley Park and we support the child with their transition to school. We operate an ‘Open Door Policy’ where parents can talk to the SENCo with any concerns they may have regarding their child’s development.
