Dear Parents and Carers,

 

Covid-19 and Nursery Closure

 

We are in unprecedented and troubled times and as usual our priorities are the children,

parents and staff under our care.

 

We have listened to the latest Government advice with regard to school and nursery

closures. However, the situation is not clear as there is no full definition of “key workers”,

whose children can continue to attend nursery. Apparently, this list will be available later

today, 19 March 2020.

 

We want to be as fair and open as we can commensurate with everyone’s safety, so our

intention is to remain open until Friday 27 March 2020 to enable us to ascertain who the

key workers are and to arrange the necessary staffing. We believe this will also give our

parents an element of “breathing space” to arrange childcare if unable to attend nursery.

 

We are devastated to have to partially close the nursery but as you will understand we have

no alternative and we sincerely hope that we will be able to open again before too long.

 

We will keep issuing bulletins as and when we know anything more.
