We are committed to providing a high-quality early years’ experience for every child. To support this, we offer an enhanced, all-inclusive environment where children can benefit from a wide range of resources, experiences, and care items that go beyond the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory requirements.
Voluntary Contributions
In line with current government guidance, charges for consumables and additional activities must be voluntary. As such, parents and carers are not required to pay these contributions for their child to access their funded hours.
However, we do encourage families to support our Consumables and Activities Contribution, which enables us to provide a more enriching and well-resourced environment for the children. This contribution covers:
-
Consumables: Nappy sacks, cotton wool, face flannels and other care-related items.
-
Activities: Special events (e.g. Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Diwali, Christmas, Easter, Graduation Party, visiting specialists (e.g. Yoga, Drama, Sports, Emergency Services), and other enhanced learning experiences such as science and cooking activities which are not directly covered by EYFS requirements.
Why We Ask for Contributions
These contributions are key to ensuring we can continue to deliver an exceptional level of care and a curriculum filled with awe and wonder. They allow us to:
-
Provide a seamless, all-inclusive package for working parents
-
Offer children access to specialist tuition and engaging enrichment activities
-
Celebrate important milestones and cultural events with high-quality resources
-
Maintain our high standards in hygiene, comfort, and wellbeing
Opting Out
We understand that some families may choose not to pay the Consumables or Activities contribution. Please be aware that in such cases, your child will still receive their funded hours and access to the EYFS curriculum. However, they may not be able to participate in some of the additional experiences or receive certain consumable items provided under our all-inclusive package.
This may mean:
-
Parents will be asked to supply their own consumables
-
We will be unable to administer over the counter medication, and you will be asked to call in to administer or collect your child in such circumstances
-
Children may not be able to attend certain extra-curricular or celebratory activities
-
Some enhancements that support broader development may not be accessible
-
Parents will not be able to access the full FAMLY App.
Keeping Costs Low
We have worked hard to keep our contribution costs as low as possible. For families who choose our All-In Package, these contributions are even more competitively priced and offer excellent value.
If you have any concerns or would like to discuss your options, we welcome open and confidential conversations. Our aim is always to work with families to ensure that every child thrives in our care.
Thank you for supporting our nursery’s vision for excellence.
