Green Room
Our Green Room provides a caring and stimulating environment that meets the individual needs of children from the age of 3. Children in this room learn through play and exploration. To support our children’s knowledge and understanding of the world, we provide opportunities which allow the children to express their childhood experiences and knowledge of different cultures through role play, music, food tasting and stories.
Circle time is carried out every day, which helps the children to learn days of the week, months and seasons through discussion and songs. Through singing we introduce the children to phonic sounds and we identify the letters in the children’s names. Throughout the day nursery practitioners continue to develop colour, shape, quantity and volume recognition with the children, working in groups or as individuals preparing the children for school. Learning through play is encouraged as each child will have personal learning outcomes to share.
