In Pre School we pride ourselves in offering the children a stimulating and engaging environment in which the children can grow and become more independent in their learning. We welcome our children onto Pre School and encourage them to work together, whether helping to serve lunch, helping each other gain skills such as fastening clothes or name writing.
We work from the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and cover the seven areas of learning through structured and child choice activities which give the children opportunities to learn through their play and make educated choices. All of our activities and daily routines help to prepare the children for their transition to school and give the children the confidence they require to express themselves and be confident, able individuals.
The seven areas of learning are as follows:
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Physical Development
- Communication and Language
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
