Welcome to the June 2013 Newsletter

We would like to welcome all of our new parents and children to Rothley Park Kindergarten.

What’s Important – Quality or Quantity?

As you may be aware Children’s Minister Liz Truss proposes, as from autumn this year, nurseries in England are to be allowed to look after more children. Please view our Quality or Quantity in Childcare article and you will be able to read my views of these changes and the implication this may have on your child’s daily care as from September 2013. Your views and concerns on this subject are most welcome, please email us on info@rotheyparkkindergarten.co.uk . We will only be too happy to share your concerns on this subject with other concerned parents via our website. You are also welcome to browse our website for ideas for children recipes and activities. If you would like to share your own recipes with other parents please email them to us. For parents who would like to receive our monthly newsletter via email please let the office have your email address. Thanking you for your continuing support.

Summer Holiday

Please could you inform the reception when you will be away on holiday. This will be very much appreciated.
We hope you have a lovely time.

New Contact Details

If your contact details change could you please notify the office so we can change the details on the computer. This is for the safety of your child in case there is an emergency. Thank you.

School Leavers Party

We will be holding a school leavers party on Wednesday 26 June in both Pre School and the Bungalow between 3:00pm-4:30pm.
If your child does not attend on the day of the party, they are still welcome but parents must attend and take full responsibility for their child.
Please NO siblings due to the high volume of children already attending the party.

Free Early Education Entitlement

FEEE is available to all children the term following their third birthday, for a minimum of 38 weeks per year. This is claimed by the setting and throughout term time only. Each term can vary between 11 and 15 weeks. The deduction will be shown on your invoice each month.
Please do not hesitate to see us in the office if you have any queries regarding your child’s funding.

Summer Clothing

As the warm weather will soon be approaching please can you provide sun cream and a sun hat clearly labelled with your child’s name. This will allow us to take your child outside to play in the sunshine. Any child without these items must be kept indoors for their own safety.
Thank you for your co operation.

All School Leavers

We offer full and part time sessions throughout the year and during school holidays, subject to availability, for all children who are under the age of 5 years and leaving the nursery for school.
Please speak to the staff in the office for further details.

Late Collection of Children

All children attending 8am – 1pm must be collected no later then 1pm. This is a requirement due to the child staff ratios and the afternoon children attending. Could we please remind you also that the nursery does close at 6.00 pm and fees for late collection will automatically be added to your account. We will charge £30.00 per incident to cover the cost of keeping the nursery open and at least two members of staff on site.
